Drink, drank, drunk

Every man's memory is his private literature. - Aldous Huxley

There isn't a memory experienced that isn't worth sharing.

My first time drinking was at 18. We were sitting in an empty bedroom of a friend's house, in the dark, in a circle, passing around a bottle or two of Mike's Hard Lemonade.

I've drank.
I've been drunk.
I still drink.

But it all seems so passé to me now.

Back in my last year of university I was head of a student group. At the end of a year, to celebrate our success, the execs and committee members (about 30 of us) had an end-of-year karaoke party, with the intention of drinking of course.

As president, and with this being the end of year party, I was "pressured" into drinking a heck of a lot, while everyone else drank off the remainder of our year's budget to the best of our abilities. Drunkenness brought out the best of our karaoke voices as we chanted and rejoiced to the likes of Backstreet Boys - I Want It That Way, 'N Sync - Bye Bye Bye, and Spice Girls - Wannabe, and even Ricky Martin - Livin La Vida Loca! Lots of pictures were taken but I remember none of it thanks to the alcohol, but apparently at one point I was quadruple-fisting beers down, and in another one, we were waving our hands in the air as a group (how dorky) to some song that I was singing.

I was somehow able to get myself home, not knowing how I crossed the streets and somehow left the front door wide open eventhough I locked the door (idioticly pointless).... and worse: for some reason I went on my computer and typed in 16-17 of my team's emails and said "I looooooooooooove you" to them.

Didn't even know it until people started making fun of me the next day and I went back to check the Sent box. Not to mention still having no memory of writing it. Ahhh.... drinking... The void of memory sure is what's "memable" sometimes :)
