Memable is an experimental project aimed at capturing the significant, and not so significant, memories that we remember from time to time but never find the right opportunity to share.

Each Monday, a new topic is posted in hopes of triggering some of those memorable, and not so memorable, events in our lives.

To share, sign up for an account to keep track of your memories. Or click on write and begin remembering anonymously.

Most of the time, in the summer daytime people are working. That's when friendships and outings depend on weekday nights or weekends. But when those weekday nights and weekends are occupied by a 2nd (or even 3rd) job, summers become quite lonely.

Facebook friend requests. Why am I your Facebook friend, but not your friend in person?

When I heard my best friend say that their opinion of me changed and didn't know what to think of me anymore, that was one of the first times a friend has ever made me cry.

The dreams I remember were either scary ones I had as a child, filled with monsters, or terrible ones that I wish to not remember, but do. I do not wish to recount those dreams anymore.

I can list off all the places I've been to so far, but that would be a bore. It's the places that I will be going to in the future that I find more interesting and exciting. Why? Because they're unknown at this point.

The bus was my way of commuting when I was younger. My mum would carry me everywhere as we could not afford a car. I never really complained about the financial situation we were in but there were times I wished we weren't in that situation (at such a young age I thought a lot). Anyways, it was another beautiful summer day for a commute as a jogger passed by, he stopped to greet me. As he greeted me, he pulled out a colorful bouncy ball for me! To this day I still have that bouncy ball to remind me that life isn't so bad.

Once I had a dream that my dad, brother and myself were trying to find something on an island. Stumbling across a cave, all three of us decided to embark on a journey through these dark caverns. We were discovered by a race of locust/ape/machine like creatures and chased out of the cave. Racing out of the cave we ran to the edge of the island and swam off towards home. I don't remember how we got back or how quickly but I awoke in the dream inside my house (or a huge mansion like version of it). I had an eerie feeling and so I went for a walk outside. I was staring at the silouette off my house agianst the moon and without warning, all of the lights in the house turned on. Somehow I knew this was caused by a haunting within the house. Out of bravery I went inside and managed to turn off half of the lights, but i got too scared so I left in my car. I drove around and found a Tim Horton's so I parked out back and walked through the back door. The small shop had conveyor belts running coffee all over the store and as I walked through the back into the front I said hi to one of my former Tim's co-worker. I ordered a coffee and walked out... and that's when I woke up.

Once I had a dream that I was chasing and fighting people with my sidekick (or maybe I was sidekick...) to find the leader of the bad guys ... or ninjas. Finally, after much fighting, we had made it into a room with just us (me and my sidekick or leader) and the ultimate bad guy...or ninja. We began trash talking each other, and after many rude words had been exchanged a little person walked into the room. The bad guy immediately turned to him and whispered the little guys name maliciously, "Footer!" Then from out of nowhere my sidekick/leader morphed with the little person to create a little person with HUGE feet...Apparently this is why the bad guy called him "Footer." Needless to say the fighting ensued and I was then rudely awaken for work.

My great grandmother is turning 100 this summer.

When you turn 100, the Canadian government will give you a certificate of appreciation. But because of government regulations, she lied back then to claim a certain working status. Looks like her recognition will just have to wait!

Those were the carefree days...when you had 2 or 4 months off, just because it was summer. I wish I had the time to drift the days away to sleep on my car looking at the stars at night.
