Memable is an experimental project aimed at capturing the significant, and not so significant, memories that we remember from time to time but never find the right opportunity to share.

Each Monday, a new topic is posted in hopes of triggering some of those memorable, and not so memorable, events in our lives.

To share, sign up for an account to keep track of your memories. Or click on write and begin remembering anonymously.

Junior high, Justine. Biggest crush ever. I'd make a fool out of myself doing things for her. She signed my yearbook "See you in Sept. Luv Justine" and I was on cloud 9. lol I was such a dork.

i only remember one thing from kindergarten.
we were each given a special piece of paper and were told to draw whatever we liked on it. i only knew how to draw flowers and a sun, so that's what i drew. then we gave our papers to the teacher and a few weeks later we each got a plate with our drawing on it. if only i knew where i could do this again so i could make another one today. but i still have this plate and it reminds me of this one memory from kindergarten.

I think I learned the difference between gray (or grey) and brown. I guess before I thought mud was gray and skies were brown.

I learned that not everyone is your friend.
I learned that you will be rewarded for being good.
I learned that those who do wrong will eventually get their comeuppance.
I learned that there are some people out there who genuinely want to help.
I learned that nothing lasts forever.
I learned that lying hurts everyone.

"Come on, it's the last dance" I heard. Before I knew it, the last dance had come. Time had just seemed to flown by. We approached the dance floor, held each other and let the music move us. As the song played on, I closed my eyes and held on tighter. It was a perfect last dance. Too bad I couldn't express how I felt at the time, and now the moment's passed.

It was the graduation year of junior high and I had a date for the grad party. I was considered "cool" with a date to the dance for the party. He picked me up from my locker and we headed to the auditorium for our certificate ceremony. It was great, we were officially an item or so I thought we were.

After our ceremony, all of the grads headed into the cafeteria for our dance. My date and I danced during the slow songs and during the upbeat songs, I danced with my friends. The last song of the evening came on for all the couples to dance and I was secretly thrilled that I had a date to dance with, unlike all those that were stag. I rushed to find my date only to find out from his friends that he had left because he was feeling tired! So much for the last dance.

We had these coloured blocks in the classroom that us kids would always play with. My particular favourites were these tan-coloured skewed diamonds. Being the clever one, I used to put two alongside each other and with my pudgy child fist, smash the tip of the diamond precipice. As expected, this resulted in the other diamond being catapulted across the room. This girl once called me a "show-off" for doing that. I bet she was just jealous because I thought of it first.

I once decided to take the bigger street home from school instead of the side streets feeling brave that day. Halfway through my epic journey, a car pulled up alongside me and the woman driver rolled down her driver side window. She called up to me.

I had learned enough about strangers to know better than to stop and listen to her, so I just kept walking on. She yelled out to tell me that I had dropped my sweatshirt. I looked back cautiously keeping one eye on her driver side door. On the sidewalk 20 feet away was the sweatshirt I had tied around my waist (because it was a cool thing to do back then). I thanked the lady and scrambled to pick it up.

There were these old-style street lamps on our street. One time, us kids were playing around it and suddenly it came crashing down into the middle of the street. We all dispersed and got the hell outta there cause none of us wanted to be blamed for it.
